Ashleigh Storytymes - Super Art Model

This Post, I like to pay tribute to an inspiring muse and a good friend. You've heard of supermodels... well this is the Super Art Model The Sensational Ashleigh Storytymes.  I first met Ashleigh in the Late Winter/ Pre-Spring of  2014 at DrawAMania, the minute I saw her walk in the room during one of the model poses I had a feeling she was something special....
... After I drew one of the sketches above she came over to look at my sketchbook and she said "Beautiful" and that was the beginning of our friendship....
I would end up bumping into her at DrawAMania

Soho

And DrawAThons

at The High School of Art  & Design...

and all night binge at the Pratt Institute

I big thanks to her for all the awesome sketches I was able to add to my portfolio.

Alessandra

Once and one time only I went to a Drawing Session run by the same guy who does DrawAMania but it was held in a Manhattan Studio which was neighbored by Broadway performer rehearsing. (The Sound of Music is not my ideal choice of music to draw with.... maybe music from Mamma Mia)
This was the only time I drew Alessandra and she was terrific, one plus side to this session was the mirror had better views on some of the poses.

Tania Martine

Here is a montage from one of  the two sessions I had with Tania at Too Moon Art Cafe what was once in Park Slope

Cecily

I First drew Cecily at the school that started my occasional drawing sessions which were held in Buschwick, and it happened on their very last night.

I then got to draw her once again months later at a Bar on the Lower East Side but this was Burlesque drawing over nude.

Kate Alley

Here is yet another Great Model I got to work with only once....

I was looking forward to drawing her and her tattoos in final repeated poses, but The organizer had the unusual idea of posing her with a purple rose scarf. Covering 80% of her tattoo sleeves.

George

Here's another Great Model from my earlier sessions, unfortunately I have never drawn George again. She reminds me a lot of a living version of Blondie Bumstead.

Nat Nat - A Raw Muse

Nat Nat is a great model, artist, and Photographer. She used to co-run a drawing session in Park Slope at what once was Two Moon Cafe. Normally whenever a scheduled model would cancel or flake she would gladly step in place.

She is the Spider-Woman of models.
