Lisa H.

The Following I met a new model name Lisa... she was referred by the model Lina. I can't remember the last time I left with so many sketches I was happy with.

October 27, 2015 - Tara Rising!

I was at my usual Tuesday Chinatown/Soho group and good ole' Tara Ashleigh was our model for the evening. And I have to say it was a great session full of unsuspecting good drawings.

I am happy to post my 3 minute sketches
I especially like the on the far upper left with the hand to her face... I feel like I captured her personality.

Ms. Ashleigh is an amazing woman, model and friend. She has the body and grace of woman who stepped out of a Renaissance Painting

..... She does remind me of the Eve is in this painting. She is someone I always enjoyed drawing, spending time and talking too.  She is long overdue for a painting.

Dana Barry

On Sunday Night, October 25th I went to "Drink & Draw" and Jerry's International Palette Shop.
We had Dana Barry as a model. I first saw this model at the prior session not as a model but as an artist.

She was wonderful to work with and would like to work with her again in the future.

October 6, 2015 - Claudia Awakens

Ok so for my Claudia post's I've been using Star Wars titles if you caught on. So that week I was originally was supposed to be in Savannah on vacation but unfortunately had to postpone the trip but in the meantime I got to draw the extremely graceful Claudia who was sporting a cute pixie cut.

Lina Returns - September 29, 2015

This past Tuesday at the Chinatown/Soho drawing sessions had the honor and pleasure of drawing once again the very talented Lina.

Tea Eaton - September 27, 2015 - Return to where it started

The Drink & Draw which I mentioned often in my earliest posts had returned this summer to a new home at Jerry's Art & Palette Shop in Union Sq.  It was a real treat to once again draw one of my early favorites Tea Eaton.

5 min. Warm ups

We were down to our last pose it has been a while since I've done the repeated pose. And like I stated in my previous post on  Tea Eaton it is very difficult to color dark skinned women but I tried a different approach and a different set of colored pencils (one I bought when I went to Poland two summers ago). And I never thought I would outshine my earliest color sketch of her.
It was great to have the Drink & Draw back although I was disappointed with the setup because the models were sinking in the blankets on the model stand that I couldn't see their feet (a part I really like to draw).

Vassilea - September 22, 2015

The Authentic Greek Muse returns once again.

Alexandria

Alexandria is also a new model I was Introduced to.... but at Dynamic Figure Drawing.

Hayley

Hey, here is a new Model, Hayley and she is a friend of the model in the previous post.

8-21-15 - Claudia Strike's Back

That Friday I had the honor and pleasure to work with the graceful Claudia.

Only at Dynamic Figure Drawing in Park Slope...

However like I said before Dynamic had mostly short poses and Claudia is the type of model you need your sweet time to draw so the whole night was pretty much hit or miss (plus I was fighting allergies). I was happy with most of the work.

8-18-15 - Tara Ashleigh

08-11-15 - Shiela

I just want add this will be the last time you will see artwork with Shiela because if you remember earlier I had uploaded a photo (THAT I TOOK) of her in comparison to the Painting of her and she flipped out on me and I had to take it down to please her. I am now refusing to attend any drawing sessions she will be at. Her behavior was very unprofessional especially for an Art Model. I felt awful and apologized but it looks like she didn't accept my apology. It is no surprise most the faculty at FIT dropped her as a model. I only upload these photos cause they are too good.
